Dear Parents/Guardians

We have been considering our options for the end of year assembly as we are concerned about the predicted 41 degree temperature.

To cater for the number of children and parents/visitors that will be in attendance, the final assembly will need to be outside. Our hall will simply not be big enough. The oval will not provide enough shade at 1.45pm when the assembly would start.

With the health and well being of all being our paramount concern, considering that we would be outside for 45 minutes, we have decided to move the final assembly to Thursday afternoon at 2.45pm, taking advantage of the predicted 23 degree forecast.

School will operate as normal on Friday, with all children being dismissed from their classrooms at 2.30pm.

The traditional ringing of the school bell to signify the end of the grade 6 children’s Primary School journey can still occur on Friday at 2.30pm.

We thank you for your understanding, we trust this will give you enough time to possibly re-arrange any commitments you have on Thursday.
