School Values

School Values

At Tecoma Primary School, we value: Respect, Resilience, Personal Best and Creativity.

In 2021, we reviewed our school values alongside our school community and our students. Students then used their voices and voted for the values of Respect, Resilience, Personal Best and Creativity,

Our school values are woven through our classrooms and our learning. We celebrate students’ achievements through our weekly Student of the Week awards based upon the values each child has displayed.

Since 2022 our values have been further established in our school through the use of the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support program, which focuses on all of the positive things our students are doing in the classroom and in the school community. Students have had the opportunity to add their positive behaviour tokens to a school wide system and have earnt a variety of whole school rewards.

G.E.M.

In 2022, students, staff and families had the opportunity to complete The Resilience Project workshops. Since these workshops we have implemented Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness (G.E.M.) into our social and emotional learning programs.
