Monash University – BASF Kidslab Excursion

In June a group of 42 very interested Tecoma Science students from Year 3-6 took part in an “invitation only” event at Monash University. The BASF Kidslab was a 90 minute session in the University’s new Chemistry building where the students were guided through several chemistry experiments.  The children really loved learning about chromatography, and using borax. guar gum to make heat sensitive ‘worms’ and a ‘magic’ blue solution which turned back to clear when the liquid settled.

We love Science at Tecoma PS.
